[NEWS] MEN’S GYMNASTICS 2012 LONDON OLYMPICS – TEAM FINALS, ALL-AROUND AND EVENT FINALS QUALIFIERS

After three-subdivision competitions, Team USA qualifies in first heading into Team Finals which will take place on Monday, July 30th. Steller performances by all five members – Danell Leyva, Jake Dalton, John Orozco, Jonathan Horton and Sam Mikulak – helped Team USA surpass powerhouses Japan and China who counted uncharacteristics falls and major mistakes but still qualified in fifth and sixth, respectively. Russia rallied with the help of all-around hottie David Belyavskiy and qualified in second into team finals. But the biggest surprise was Great Britain who qualified in third just trailing behind Russia by only .175. Germany looked solid with strong performances by all-arounder Fabian Hambuchen and Marcel Nguyen. Of course the team wouldn’t be complete without the help from (super) hottie Philipp Boy and Sebastian Kimmer. The Ukraine team were beyond ecstatic qualifying in seventh with decent showing from Mykola Kuksenkov and (cutie) Oleg Verniaiev. Rounding out the top 8 was France who crept into that last spot even though the team had suffered major blows with injuries from Thomas Bouhail, Benoit Caranobe and Samir Ait Said. Check out the complete list of qualifiers of the men’s team, all-around and event finals that you can browse through below. We’ve highlighted the U.S. gymnasts who qualified in the all-around and event finals. Thanks Danny Sierra (Gymnastike) for putting all the info together!
