THE BOTTLE LINE: THE FAMILY

THE FAMILY

FEATURING:  Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, Dianna Agron, John D’Leo, Jon Freda and Vincent Pastore

DIRECTOR:  Luc Besson

GENRE:  Crime

SYNOPSIS:  A mafia boss and his family find living in the witness protection program challenging; especially when they are forced to live in France!

RATING:  R

RUNNING TIME: 111 Mins

THE GOOD: Starts off with a bang!  And ends with a bang!

Having this fierce mafia family live in the American-hating country of France was truly a brilliant idea and makes for a truly funny movie!

Director Luc Besson keeps the film fresh, by allowing new comers Dianna Agron (TV’s GLEE and HEROES) and John D’Leo (THE WRESTLER and WANDERLUST) to shine brighter than De Niro and Pfeiffer; allowing for the unexexpected.

Inspired use of subtitles!

THE BAD:  At times a little too coincidental…

THE UGLY:  Even though De Niro and Pfeiffer have shared screen credit two times before, this is the first time that they have appeared in a scene together.  Now that’s is shocking!
