Our delicious Tomato-Free Guacamole Recipe takes traditional guac to the next level with tons of flavor, a little heat an NO tomatoes. (We aren’t tomato haters – We LOVE tomatoes in lots of other things – but in good guacamole, they only muddy the flavor and water it down.) This flavorful guacamole will be a delight for friends and family at your next BBQ.
3 cloves garlic
1/2 jalapeño (with seeds!)
3 green onions
1 cup cilantro
1 teaspoon Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Start by cutting your avocados in half. Remove the seeds and skin. Spoon avocado into a large bowl.
Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over the avocado mixture.
Mince 3 cloves of garlic and add to the mix.
Mince up 1/2 of a Jalapeño (seeds and all) and add it to the mixture. Leaving the seeds in the mix will give the Guac enough heat to be tasty without starting a fire in your mouth.
Mince up 3 green onions and add to the mix.
Finely chop your cup of cilantro and add it to the mix.
Add 1 tsp of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning. Tony’s is one of the magic ingredients in this guacamole recipe. Not only does it provide next level seasoning – but it’ll also provides that bit of salt that makes a really great guacamole.
Add 1/4 tsp black pepper
Use a fork to mash the avocados and mix all the ingredients together. You’ll want it to be mixed well, but also still have a little chunkiness to the finished product.
Now give it a taste! Depending on your personal palate, you may want a little more lime juice or seasoning.
Pair this guacamole with the traditional tortilla chip fare or try some other exciting options. For a healthier treat, try it with celery sticks or apple slices. I know you’re thinking – Apple Slices?! But give it a try. The crunch and sweetness of the apple paired with guacamole is a delight!
